Elements of Competency Performance Criteria              
Element: Prepare to maintain safety and tidiness of RAPS system
  • Work health and safety (WHS)/ occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements and workplace procedures are identified and applied
       
Element: Risks/hazards are identified, assessed, reported to relevant person/s and control measures implemented
       
Element: Nature and location of the RAPS system is identified from work schedule and relevant person/s to determine the scope of work
       
Element: Advice on coordinating work with relevant personnel and the local community is obtained from relevant person/s and applied
       
Element: Tools and equipment required for cleaning work are obtained and checked for correct operation and safety
       
Element: Need to test or measure live electrical work is determined in accordance with WHS/OHS requirements and conducted in accordance with workplace procedures
  • Circuits/machines/system are isolated in accordance with WHS/OHS requirements and workplace procedures
       
Element: RAPS system and area are cleaned in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Cleaning is completed minimising waste of materials, energy, damage to apparatus, circuits, the surrounding environment and services
       
Element: Quality checks are conducted in accordance with workplace procedures
       
Element: Complete work and report outcomes
  • Cleaning and tidiness issues are reported to the local community in accordance with workplace procedures

Assessment Tasks
